Have you ever wondered where your dreams come
from? Award-winning author Lois Lowry tackles this question in
her First Stage adaptation. In this richly imaginative story,
a young dream-giver, assigned to help a troubled child and a lonely
woman, must battle the creators of nightmares to help these
two people discover their courage, strength and the power of
love.
GOSSAMER is a
collaboration between Oregon Children's Theatre of Portland, Oregon and
First Stage Children's Theater. The collaboration includes a
co-commission of author Lois Lowry to adapt her book by the same name
for the stage, play development and associated educational
programming.

Workshops
Enhance your family’s theater experience
with our Family Workshops! The First Stage Education
Department offers 45-minute family workshops in conjunction with each
mainstage production that provide an opportunity for you and your
family to gain an understanding of the play’s subject, while
developing a strong, personal connection to the themes explored
throughout the play.
Our Family workshops are free
to all subscriber families. For non-subscribers, workshops
are available for only $10.00/family of four, $5.00/parent and child,
$2.00 for each additional child and $4.00 for each additional adult. To
