Enrichment Guides

To aid teachers in extending their students' learning beyond their field trip to the theater, the education department offers workshops and enrichment materials that suggest possible themes and curriculum connections through which teachers can create fully integrated units. In addition, the education programs and enrichment materials for our season are designed to help teachers and students address the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Standards as well as the National Standards for Theatre Education.

A field trip to see a play at First Stage Children's Theater can be an ideal springboard for learning across the curriculum. Along with the specific themes and connections suggested for each play in this guide, all of the plays provide students and teachers with opportunities to explore and build key life skills.
