Multi-Cultural Assembly Tour

LINCOLN AT GETTYSBURG

February 9  - 28, 2009

By Jeff Frank

Traveling by train to the site of his famous speech, Lincoln is asked to speak by a crowd at one of the stations. He shares his struggles to put his thoughts together and reflects on his own trials and growth that have led to the moment he is about to face. This one-man show concludes with Lincoln's remarkable address. This educational experience is in celebration of the 200th birthday of our nation's most renowned president.

This popular program is designed to aid educators in providing arts experiences for their students, as well as to provide a forum for multi-cultural awareness. A THOUSAND CRANES

April 20 - May 22, 2009

By Kathryn Schultz Miller

Only two years old when the bomb fell on Hiroshima, young Sadako Sasaki seemed unharmed but was later diagnosed with "radiation sickness." With boundless optimism, she takes an old story to heart: If a sick person folds a thousand paper origami cranes the gods will grant her wish and make her well again. Her wish is that there will never be another bomb like that again. This is a moving story of one girl's courage and triumph.
